"A Garden is as new today as when men and women
first grew plants, long before history was recorded.
It comes fresh from seeds and roots, grown of new rains
and sunshine, sprung from the tireless earth. The experience
is different in every season. New hopes are to be fulfilled.
New kinds of plants are to be grown. We are relieved
from the turmoil in which mankind lives, comforted by
the calmness of silent, growing things. A garden maintains
our faith and confidence."
-Liberty Hyde Bailey (1854-1954)

Plant Suggestion
• Citrosa Pelargonium
Graveolens

|
This
plant is a MOSQUITO FIGHTER...it loves a sunny spot!
Be moderate with water and fertilizer. When touched,
the plant diffuses a strong lemon scent which definitely
deters insects! |
The
citrosa "geranium" was developed in the Netherlands
and carries a gene that produces a lemony/citrus scent.
The oils are released when the leaves are gently rubbed
or touched. The Herbal Sleuth places these plants on
outside tables .
If you live in an area where mosquitoes are a concern
or you will be spending time in places where mosquitoes
frequent, like the woods at the Herbal Sleuth's farm,
we then recommend Lake and Lodge salve by WildWind Farms.
